Charles "Bill" William FoxMarch 13, 1937 ~ December 3, 2017 (age 80)
Charles W “Bill” Fox, passed away peacefully 12-3-17 at home surrounded by his loving children, grandchildren and sister. He was born 03-13-1937 to James Arthur and Esther Booth Fox in Tooele.
Dad served in the United State Navy during the peace time between the Korean and Vietnam wars. He served on the USS Caloosahatchee.
When dad and a bunch of his friends sluffed school to go up in the canyon to have a snowball fight, he met the love of his life, Jan. They were married on 08-08-1958 and enjoyed each other during every year of it. They have 4 children, 11 grandkids, 16 great grandkids with 1 great grandson coming in April and a great-great grandson coming in January.
He worked at Marblehead Lime Co. and then at the Tooele Army Depot. He retired after 38 years of service and was then able to go fishing full time in Manila (Flaming Gorge). He enjoyed fishing, camping, wood working, gardening and hunting with his 3 brothers and then with the whole family.
Dad was an avid member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles for 50 years. He served as a Worthy Trustee for 10 years and was the Aerie Father twice. He was inducted into the FOE State Hall of Fame.
He is survived by 3 of his children: Bill (Donna) Fox, Barbara (Kevin) Denner and Arthur (Tammy) Fox, his brothers, Ned (Sue) Fox, Brad (Donna) Fox, his sister Denise Little and many nieces and nephews.
Dad is preceded in death by his beautiful wife Jan, son Jimmy, who passed away due to pneumonia at the tender age of 2, brother Monte, sister Sharon, sister Francis, and his mom and dad.
Funeral service will be at Tate Mortuary 110 S Main St, Tooele, UT 84074 Saturday Dec. 9, 2017 at 11am. The viewing will be prior to the service from 9am to 10:45am.
Interment will be at the Tooele City Cemetery
