Our beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, George Christley Millward, completed his earthly work and was called home to our Heavenly Father on January 1, 2009. His earthly accomplishments were numerous, the greatest being husband, father, protector, and provider. His LDS Church service was a joy in his life. He served an LDS mission to the Texas Louisiana mission. He served in several Bishoprics, as LDS Bishop, High Counselor, auxiliary teacher callings, and in scouting. He honorably served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. George enjoyed community service. He served as Grantsville Sociable Co Chairman, and various Sociable committees. He was a dedicated member of the Grantsville Volunteer Fire Department, an EMT, and served two terms as Fire Chief. He enjoyed participating in the Grantsville Opera House Memorial Theater productions. George was born of goodly parents, George lee and Glenna Christley Millward, on Aug 19, 1932. He loved his brothers and sisters, Billy Jo, Douglas, Virginia, Arlen, and Glenda. George lived his entire life in Grantsville, Utah. George was extremely grateful for, and proud of his six children: Lori (Matthew) Lawrence, Melodi (Randy) Gochis, Georgette (Todd) Shosted, Nathan (Margaret) Millward, Starla Marie Millward, and AnnAdelle (Cory) Woodhouse. He has 20 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at the Grantsville Stake House, 550 E Durfee St. Grantsville, UT, on Wed, Jan 7, 2009 at 1:00 PM. A viewing will be held prior to the services from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM. A viewing will also be held Tues, Jan 6th, at the Tate Mortuary, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. The family wishes to thank Dr. Krogh and staff, and the Tooele Community Nursing Service and Staff.
