Marlene Veronica Mecham went to be with the lord on the 12th day of January 2009. Born in Naomi, PA on November 20 1937 the daughter of Arthur and Emily Granlund. Preceded in death by Arnold and Brian Mecham and father Arthur Granlund and is survived by mother Emily Daniels Granlund, son Barry, daughter Kelly Reynolds, Glenn Reynolds, brother Art Granlund and wife Sally, two Grandchildren, one Great Grandchild, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces,and nephews. Marlene was a graduate of Bellmar High School in Pennsylvania where she enjoyed playing softball and swimming. Later enlisted in the US Air Force where she met her husband and became a devoted wife and mother of her family while serving as a highly valued employee of Tooele Army Depot. Marlene was an avid golfer and an active member of the notorious Fugarwe Tribe. She often enjoyed gardening and corresponding by mail with relatives and friends across the country. She loved to cook, travel, and watch the Pittsburgh Steelers and New York Yankees play. Marlene was an unending source of love, understanding, and good humor, she will be sadly missed by all who love her. Marlene’s viewing will be held at the Tate Mortuary in Tooele, Utah on Friday January 16 from 11:30A.M. till 12:45P.M. Graveside services will be held at 1:00PM in the Tooele City Cemetery
