JOAN E. MCCARTY
Our loving wife, mother, grandmother & friend passed away Feb. 16th 2009. Mom was born Jan. 6th, 1938 in Woodbine, KS to Leona & Ralph Oesterreich. She is survived by her husband of 53 yrs Thomas L McCarty, sons: Bobby (Cindy), Tommy (Pam), DeWayne, and Shawn (Michelle), 7 Grandchildren, 6 Great Grandchildren & her brother Jack Loy. She was preceeded in death by her son, Timothy, brother Gene, and parents. A resident of Stansbury Park, UT she worked for Creekside Home Health Care for 10 years after moving from CO to UT in 1976. She loved helping people. We couldn’t have asked for a better mom, even though raising 4 boys was quite a challenge. A skunk under a bucket, snakes in the milk box, a burnt down horsebarn, smoke bombs in the kitchen, and a pigeon in the dryer were all a normal day in the life of our mom. She was a stay at home mom, an excellent cook and always there for us. A celebration of her life will be held at Tate Mortuary 110 S. Main St in Tooele, UT Fri. Feb. 20th at 11:00 am. A viewing will be held one hour prior to services. We’ll miss you mom. I love you. I love you more.
