Everett Earl Hargett, Jr.

hargetteverettEarl Hargett, 92, passed away Sunday, March 9,2009. He was born January 3, 1917 in Stafford, KS, to Everett Earl and Stella Hargett.  He graduated from Montezuma, KS. High school in 1933. He served in the United States Navy during WW II. In 1936, Earl began his life long career as a driver for Greyhound Bus, and retired in 1977. After retiring, he and Lorie moved to Fernley, Nevada. Earl was a member of The Masonic Lodge and was a Shriner. He moved to Tooele, Utah in 2001 where he and Lourene resided at the Cottage Glen Assisted Living Center. He was preceded in death by his parents, Everett and Stella Hargett, and two brothers, Jack and Mac Hargett. Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Lourene Haslam Hargett. Other survivors include one sister, Margie Heggy of Mission, KS; and one brother and wife, Bill and Doris Hargett of Moore, OK. Friends may visit with the family on Friday March 13, 2009 from 1:00 – 2:00 PM at Tate Mortuary. A graveside service will be held at the Tooele City Cemetery at 2:00PM.
