Grant Henry Harris

Grant Harris, 84, passed away peacefully at St. Mark’s Hospital on March 3, 2009. He was born on July 31, 1924 to James Henry Harris and Elizabeth Bean. Grant married his high school sweetheart Dorothy Rydalch on Aug. 22, 1947 in the Salt Lake Temple. Together they have four children: Loralee Garn, Alan (Becky), Kelly, Tommy (Amber). Grant looked forward to his 18 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
Grant worked for the Tooele Army Depot for 30 plus years and retired in 1982. Grant enjoyed working for Jay Ruben Clark’s Farm, also shoeing horses, and his “Little Guy” (his horse). Grant was the most hard-working, gentle and loving man. He would do anything for anyone. He never complained and made the best of everything.

Funeral services will be March 9, at 2 p.m. at 115 E. Cherry St., Grantsville. A viewing will be held prior to the service from 12:30-1:30 p.m. Interment Grantsville Cemetery.
