Skylar Quaid

Posted By on April 4, 2009

quaidskylarSkylar George Cohen Quaid “Sky” finished his courageous journey on this earth Saturday, April 4th, 2009. He was born June 24th, 1999 in a body that some would consider less than perfect. Through numerous medical procedures and pain, that most could not begin to bear, he courageously smiled and reassured his family that it was all worth it. Without speaking a word or walking a step he brought richness and joy beyond measure to our lives. He taught us about priorities and the real meaning of life. We will miss him dearly but will always treasure every minute he spent teaching us and and bringing us joy. He was a shining example of selflessness. Sky is survived by 19 brothers and sisters. Mindi Price, Amy Hunzeker (Jarod), Garrett (Amber), Marcus, Alyssa, Cassi, Hayden, Sara, Tren, Ben, Ellie, Harrison, Marie, Jason, Mason (his extra special friend and brother), Molly, Kameron, Malachi, and Bradley. Nieces and nephews Kielee, Kaidence, Tyrell, Jessica, Vanessa, Maharck, and Hunter. He was greeted on the other side of the veil by many of his relatives and friends who anxiously welcomed him home. We express our deepest gratitude to the wonderful nurses who helped us make Sky’s life rich and full. We also thank the doctors that helped Sky fulfill his mission here through their service to him and us. A viewing will be held on Tuesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 at the Tate Mortuary in Tooele. Funeral service will be held at 12:00 noon at the Lakeview ward, 2053 Churchwood Dr in Pine Canyon, with a viewing from 10:30 to 11:30 prior to the funeral at the church.
