On May 22, 2009 Bernice Geneva Anderton Walker beloved wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, sister, and friend passed away peacefully in her sleep. Bernice was born February 13, 1932 on the ranch in Marysvale, Utah to Wesley Elmer and Kirsten Geneva (Anderson) Anderton. She was raised in Marysvale with her 8 siblings and later moved to Tooele. In 1952 Bernice married the love of her life William Lavar Walker .Together they raised 2 children Peggy (Danny) Sanchez and Grant (Lucy). Bernice loved her grand kids, hunting, fishing, and life on the ranch. She loved to shop especially when there was a good deal and always shared the wealth. In her later years there wasn’t a yard sale she would pass up. She loved going for scenic drives with family whenever she got the chance. Bernice is survived by her children, grandchildren: Thomas (Tommy) Belnap, Nathan Grant (Analyn) Walker, Nikki (Nate) Walker. Brothers: Grant (Marie), Robert (Vickie), Ned, Donald (Annie) Anderton and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by husband, parents, brothers: Virl, Harold, Bud, Ralph, sister Maxine and son in law Danny Sanchez. The family wishes to express their many thanks to Rocky Mountain Care, Dr. Trudel and Hospice staff for the love and care they have shown Bernice in the past year. Funeral services will be held Thursday May 28th, 2009 @ 11 :00 a.m. at the Tate Mortuary (110 S. Main) with viewing to be held Wednesday evening from 6-8:00 p.m. also Thursday one hour prior to service. Interment Tooele Cemetery 361 S. 100 E.
