Lourene Haslam Hargett

Lourene Haslam Hargett, age 93, quietly passed away in the early hours of the morning on Friday August 7, 2009. She was born on February 12, 1916 to Joshua and Martha Haslam in American Fork, Utah. She was the 3rd of 7 children. She married Earl Hargett. They spent most of their lives in and around Reno, Nevada; where Lourene retired from Harold’s Casino as a Keno writer. They moved to Fernley, Nevada on their Small Farm, where they lived very happily until their health started to decline and in 2004 they came to live in Tooele to be close to family members. She was preceded in death by her husband Earl ; daughter Beverly Field; her parents; 2 brothers George and Donald Haslam; 2 sisters, Fern Kiler and Bernice Banks. She is survived by her sister Mildred Baker and a brother Ray Haslam both of Stockton, Utah; and many nieces and nephews who loved her very much. A Visitation Service will be Friday August 14, 2009 at 1:00PM at Tate Mortuary and graveside services will follow at the Tooele Cemetery. We would like to thank the special Aides and Nurses from Cottage Glen for the love and compassion that they show to Lourene. And also a thanks to Harmony Hospice; especially Benita Pacheco for her love and compassion for Lourene.
