Juanita Ortega Medrano peacefully left this life to begin a new one with her heavenly father on September 1, 2009. Juanita (Jenny) was born in Costilla, New Mexico on September 23, 1923 to Jacobo and Andrea Rivera Ortega. She married Luis Medrano in June, 1943 and together, began a family consisting of 11 children. She survived by her sons James Medrano, John Medrano (April), Jacob Medrano (Jennifer), Robert Medrano (Kristine), Clarence Medrano, her daughters Jenny Martinez, Andrea Dubois (John), and Jamie Medrano, her five sisters, twenty grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her mother, father, one sister Martha, two brothers Bernie and Jacob, a step-brother Gilbert, husband Luis, son Louis, grandson Jason Medrano, daughter-in-law Karel Christensen Medrano and son-in-law Ernie Martinez. She was one who was full of life and love for her family and friends. She made it her passion to ensure that everyone in her life knew that she loved and cared for them. Her success was seen through her sacrifice and unconditional love for all. Funeral will be held Monday September 7, 2009 at 11 AM at Tate Mortuary with a viewing the hour prior. Interment Grantsville Cemetery.

So sorry I didn’t make the viewing. Jenny was such a loving and caring person. She will be missed. Although she is gone you still have your special memories of her.
