Randal Lynn Stromberg was born December 17, 1950 in Armour, South Dakota. He died unexpectedly March 12, 2010 at his home in Taylorsville, Utah. He will be missed. Randy grew up in Grantsville and Tooele, Utah where he enjoyed playing sports. He spent many enjoyable hours hiking in the beautiful surrounding mountains. His wonderful sense of humor was often shared and enjoyed by others. He graduated from the University of Utah with two majors in 1974. Over the years, he worked as a youth counselor, security guard, transportation distributor, and prison guard. Randy was a member of First Lutheran Church in Tooele. He was preceded in death by his mother, Joyce and father, Glen. Surviving family members include his beloved daughter, Samantha (James) Humphries and granddaughters, Isabelle and Jaleina of LaVerkin, Utah; brother, Rodney (Donna) Stromberg of Sachse, Texas; sister, Gwen (Sam) Jordan of Lubbock, Texas; and sister, Sondra (Kent) Stevenson of Gresham, Oregon. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 20, 2010 at First Lutheran Church in Tooele, Utah. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be given to a charity of choice.
