Our loving son and brother Cody Gillette, age 26, passed away on March 1, 2018 in Stansbury Park. Cody was born in West Valley City, UT, on December 6, 1991, to Leslie Duane Gillette and Angie Jackson Gillette. He graduated from Stansbury High School in 2010.

Cody was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was a natural outdoorsman. He loved spending time in the outdoors with family and friends. He also loved baseball, soccer, and golf. He was a great friend and kind hearted. He was enthusiastic, a leader and people were drawn to him especially children.

Cody is survived by his parents Duane and Angie Gillette, his sister Kaylee Gillette, his grandmother Sherron Gillette, his grandfather Richard Jackson, his grandmother Janice Jackson, uncles Aaron (Jacque) Jackson, Aric (Cassie) Jackson, aunt Debra Nickolas, and cousins Chad Nickolas, Zachary Buzianas, Tiffany Nickolas, Dallas Jackson, and Jordyn Jacskson, He is preceded in death by his grandfather Ronald Gillette and great grandparents.

     A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, March 7, 2018 at 4PM at Tate Mortuary (110 S Main ST. Tooele). The family will receive friends for a viewing at 3PM on Wednesday, March 7, at Tate Mortuary. After the service Cody will be cremated and his ashes will be spread in the great outdoors.

     Friends and family are welcome for food provided by Lane Marshall, Gina Ruiz, and the wonderful ladies of Mountain of Faith Lutheran Church at LaRue and Shirley’s 30 W 100 S (right across the street from the mortuary) from 5:30 to 7PM.

     In lieu of flowers the family appreciates donations to an account set up at any Mountain America Credit Union in Cody’s name. They will give the donations to a charity in honor of him.
