DeLora E (Nichols) Wilson 1939 ~ 2018

Our loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend passed away peacefully in the hands of Our Lord at her daughter’s home, under the care of Hospice on July 9, 2018 at the age of 79.

Born March 14, 1939 to Arthur and Justine Nichols in Goessel, KS. Baptized in 1941 in the Mennonite Church, Goessel, moved to Oakley Kansas with her family in 1951. She married her life-long sweetheart, Marvin Wilson, in 1956.  DeLora was a friend to all with her cheerful spirit and positive attitude. Through her fun and loving personality, she was devoted to celebrating life, laughing and loving. She often planned get-togethers with her family and friends – making each one feel special with her devotion to little details. She loved riding motorcycles, camping, bluegrass festivals and traveling. DeLora was a very creative and talented soul. She had a beautiful voice and loved to sing and harmonize with Marvin. An inventive seamstress making everything from Barbie doll clothes to pink panther costumes, gunny-sack nightgowns to bridal dresses. A talented artist and craft hobbyist, often selling her goods at local craft shows. She was an excellent cook and candy maker – but above all an inspiration and the glue that created a very close family.   She is survived by her husband, Marvin (Tooele, UT); daughter Debbie (Charlie) Larson, Tooele; son Todd (Cassandra) Wilson, Kalispell, MT; grandson, Brian Larson; granddaughter Sara Gallon; and great granddaughters Justine and Victoria; also sister DeAnna (John) Van Eaton, Canyon City, Co and brother Maynard (Debby) Nichols, Oakley KS as well as many members of the Nichols and Wilson families. Proceeded in death by her parents, her sister Beverly Franz and brother Harlan Nichols.

FOR GOD SO LOVED THE WORLD, THAT HE GAVE HIS ONLY SON, THAT WHOEVER BELIEVES IN HIM SHALL NOT PERISH BUT HAVE ETERNAL LIFE  John 3:16
