James Gale Oviatt
James Gale Oviatt, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend, passed from the loving arms of his family through the veil into the waiting arms of his parents, Lamon and Eva Oviatt on the 30th of April 2018. Jim was born in Price, Utah on December 22, 1945 to Lamon and Eva Oviatt. He grew up in Tacoma Washington and served a two-year LDS mission in the Western States. Afterwards, he enlisted in the Air Force where was honorably discharged in 1972. After his service to the country, Jim attended BYU, which is where he also met his loving wife, Glenna. They were sealed in the Manti Temple on May 16, 1974. Jim lived his life serving others. He always had a smile and a joke for everyone he met. He lived his life the way the Savior taught: love one another. His faith in the gospel is a great example to his family he has left behind. He will be deeply missed by everyone he met.
Jim is survived by his wife of 43 years, Glenna; his 3 children: Lisa Sullivan, Shawn Oviatt, and Wendy Oviatt, his brother Lamon Oviatt Jr, his sister Kay Martin, and his 5 grandchildren: Nick, Ben, Javan, Jayden, and Savannah.
