- About Us
Kayla Marie Curtis left to live with her heavenly family on August 12, 2018 from complications of an acute illness. She was born to Richard Warren Curtis and Trudy Maxfield Curtis on September 15, 1986.
She leaves behind her three children: Coby Jacob, Lexy Ann, and Kadelyn Marie Rackley all of Tooele, Utah. Also remaining her parents of Tooele, siblings Richard Warren Curtis Jr (Dawn) Tooele; Jason Lane Curtis (Brianna) American Fork, Utah; Misty Dawn Young (Brad) Tooele, Utah and a loving Fiancee Tavis Chad Huber. Many nieces and nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends mourn her passing especially her cousin April Taylor and niece Mindee Costello. Many of these considered her their second mom. Preceded in death are grandparent Maxfield, grandparent Curtis, Joshua Nathanial Curtis (Nephew), Aunts DeAnna Maxfield an Uvonne Maxfield McCarty, and Uncle Byron Grant Maxfield.
Kayla was known for her kind heart and spunkiness. Definitely a mother bear. She took pride in a strong work ethic. Had self-esteem, confidence and pride in self – always with her make up on and hair done; cooking healthy, tasty meals. Loved pretty surroundings.
Kayla loved her animals of various species. You’d think their home was a zoo. Known for her craftiness and interior decoration. She lived up to her Patriarchal Blessing in these areas. She had a soft spot for those less fortunate by providing food, warm clothes, and friendship – always instilling these traits in her children. She supported BACA in philosophy. Strong pride in country and military, sponsoring Easter sacks of goodies with her day care kiddos for her brothers military company in Iraq. She received a USA flag that flew over that country on the day of the “treats” arrival. She has a competitive spirit for table games with her family plus playing candy rush on her phone.
Tavis and Kayla enjoyed impromptu trips which gave Kayla an opportunity to see other parts of our state and country. They were busy making their house into a home. They had planned to marry in Bora Bora which she was thrilled to plan.
Rest in peace baby daughter – Fly High!
