Richard “Dick” V. Davis returned to our Heavenly Father on Aug 21, 2018. He passed peacefully at his home in Rush Valley, Utah with family members at his side.
He was born on Nov 22, 1931 in Deseret, Utah to Verd and Fay Davis. He married Karene Bingham on June 7, 1956 in the Manti temple. He was an active member of the LDS Church and served in many positions. He served in the US Army during the Korean War and continued his service in the Army reserves. He retired from Dugway Proving Grounds where he worked as a Biological Lab and Range Technician for 22 years. He loved spending time with his family and being on his horse, he loved the rodeo participating in all events, but team roping with his family and friends was his passion. He leaves behind children, Vandy (Chris) Williams, Debbie (Larry) Hope, Glenn (Jackie) Davis; and Teri (Jason) Street, 11 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren. Dick is preceded in death by his wife, Karene Davis; daughter, Joni Morgas; parents, Verd and Fay Davis; two grandchildren Bryan and Tyler Street; one great-grandchild, Tanner Black. He was loved by all and helped anyone in need. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
A viewing will be held at Tate Mortuary, 110 S. Main, Tooele, Utah , Friday Aug 24, 2018, from 6-8 pm. Funeral Services will be held at the Rush Valley LDS Church, 985 N. Church St., Rush Valley, Utah on Sat Aug 25, 2018 at 1:00 pm, with a viewing from 11:30-12:45 prior to the service. Interment will follow at the Clover Cemetery.
