Dean Allen Obituary (1931 - 2017)

Dean Henry Allen was born on June 5th, 1931 to Reda Ricks and Henry Heber Allen, the sixth of eleven children. He worked on his father’s ranch in Cove, Utah and Swan Lake, Idaho until he graduated from high school and went on a mission to the Southern States. While serving a mission, Dean became pen pals with Leah Butler through the Pen Pal page in the Children’s Friend. They were married on June 5th, 1956. He attended Utah State University for a couple of years before leaving to take care of his growing family. He and Leah had eleven children, 34 grandchildren, and a growing number of great-grandchildren. Dean now rests in peace with his beloved Leah. Funeral service for Dean will be on Monday, January 9th 11:00 a.m. at the LDS church, located 141 W Utah Ave, Tooele, UT.
