Dixie Bottom (Halgren) Obituary (2017)

Dixie Marr Bottom (Halgren), 82, passed away Tuesday, October 17th 2017 at Pomona Valley Hospital in Pomona, California. She was born and raised in Tooele, Utah and graduated with honors from Utah State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree. Following her university studies, she taught elementary school in both Southern and Northern California and served in many capacities within the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She was loved by all who knew her and Dixie will be certainly missed by family and friends. She is survived by her husband (Edward Bottom), three children (Tiffany Flanagan and Mark & Joel Bottom, ten grandchildren (Ashley, Kelsey Scotty, Hunter, Logan Flanagan, Emma and Dayton Bottom and Taylor, Mason and Marcus Bottom and a great grandchild (Hayden Flanagan) and was predeceased by her parents Mark D. Halgren and Ethel R. Halgren. Funeral services were held on Saturday October 28th, 2017 at the Diamond Bar LDS chapel in Southern California. Burial services will be held at noon on Friday November 3rd, 2017 at Tooele City Cemetery.
