Forrest Davis Obituary (1944 - 2021)

Forrest Wood Davis always known as "WOODY" age 77 died Monday, January 25, 2021, at home in Grantsville, Utah from his 11-year battle with stage 4 cancer. Born January 5, 1944 in Oak Hill, WV to Leonard and Virginia, at the time of his birth his father was serving in the United States Army in the South Pacific, to the end of the war. Woody married his wife Mary Williams in Arizona on December 24, 1987. Woody is a graduate of Lakewood H.S. in California and he also attended Ventura Community College. Woody served 2 years in the Navy after H.S. He was such a rascal, his best friend Tim said that after a weekend furlough he would drive Woody down to the Navy shipyards in San Diego and when he returned home, there would be Woody sitting on the porch after getting another furlough. After the Navy, Woody tried working under his father at the cement plant but decided instead to enter law enforcement, which he did for approximately 5 years and never shot anyone, then moving onto sales and management after that. Woody has lived everywhere, from Tennessee to California, as far south as Arizona and north to British Columbia. We hope to bring closure for family members with a celebration of his life the first or second Saturday of March 2021 at The First Baptist Church Grantsville, Utah. Woody is survived by his Wife, Mary and daughter Christine of Grantsville and son Richard of Lehi. Woody has a son Jeffrey and daughter Jennifer from his first wife Sandra, who reside in North Carolina, 9 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. He has a sister Margaret Christiansen, living in Arizona and 3 nieces, Tami, Tifani and Misti. Right now, I imagine him in Heaven, walking the Streets of Gold, with Pooh Bear by his side and Joker, not far behind. To sum up his life in 3 words: HE LOVED UNCONDITIONALLY!
