LeRoy Rogers Obituary (1942 - 2021)

LeRoy H. Rogers, 79, from Tooele, UT, passed away on Friday, June 11, 2021, at his home surrounded by loved ones. Leroy was born in Omaha, NE on May 31, 1942. He attended Central high school and proudly served in the US Navy from 1960-1966. He then worked for the Union Pacific Railroad for almost 24 years before retiring. LeRoy Married Bonnie Simon, later divorced, and had 3 children, Dawn, Jason, and Danielle. He lived in Omaha until 1989, then moved to Utah. LeRoy was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church and had a passion for fitness, automobiles, and dogs. He enjoyed going for drives, listening to good music, and reminiscing on the good old days. LeRoy was a kindhearted man who was deeply loved and will be missed by many he leaves behind. Siblings, Marlene (deceased) and Joe Kelly, Don and Jodene Rogers, Richard and Rose Rogers, Carl Rogers (deceased), Joyce and Bill Haas. Children, Dawn Hircock, Jason Rogers, and Danielle Garcia. Grandchildren, Ashley O’Harrow, Patrick O’Harrow, Arrinna Poessnecker, and Marvin Garcia. Great Grandchildren Starla Jacobson. He is preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd and Lillian Rogers, his brother Carl, and his sister Marlene. Funeral will be Thursday, June 17, 2021, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. LeRoy’s burial will take place in Omaha NE at a later time. “Goodbye doesn’t mean forever.”
