Mathew Key Obituary (2020)

Mathew "Matt" Thomas Key was born March 31, 1972 to Lowell "Mick" and Mary Key. He passed away May 25, 2020 unexpectedly at his home in Stansbury Park, Utah. He was a wonderful husband, dad, and pop pop. He married Susie April 18, 1994 and was blessed with 2 sons, 2 daughters, and later 2 grandchildren and one on the way. Matt had a passion for cooking and barbecuing and loved to try out new recipes. He served 4 years in the Navy and was stationed on the USS Independence and the USS Tarawa. Matt worked at Rio Tinto where he was the chief pilot and trainer of the ROV program. He was always able to put a smile on everyone's face with the legendary stories he would tell. Because of his infectious smile and charming personality Matt made friends everywhere he went and was loved by everyone he met. He will be deeply missed by all and will never be forgotten. Matt is survived by his wife of 26 years Susie and his children Mickey, Gage, Kaylee and Logan. He is also survived by his 2 grandchildren Breklee Colt and Ruger Mathew. Visitation will be held on Friday May 29, 2020 from 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm. Funeral Service will follow from 5:00pm to 6:00 pm. May he rest in paradise.
