Kristopher Allen Lassche, 36 years old, passed away unexpectedly in his home on June 11, 2021.
Kris was kind to everyone he met and was always willing to lend a hand. His laid-back personality made it easy for him to make lifelong friends.
His nieces and nephews adored him. He taught them how to catch lizards, snakes, and fish, how to drive go karts and fix bikes, he even let them tag along on walks to the gas station for Diet Mountain Dew and snacks.
Every Sunday after church, Little Gramma used to give him money to walk to the gas station for a hotdog with cheese and her mug refilled with Diet Pepsi. After a while, he no longer accepted her money and instead would have it waiting for when she got home.
He loved to stay on the phone for hours with his dad and sister, Heather, even though there were times nobody was saying a word. Just knowing they were on the other end was all the comfort he needed.
Kris loved camping, fishing, and hunting, he was great at engraving mirrors, and fixing things such as four wheelers, go karts and lawn mowers. He was so creative and handy that he turned his prosthetic leg into a lamp!
Kris loved animals, we used to tease him about having a zoo in his room. He had lizards, turtles, sugar gliders, hedgehogs, goats and even a pig. Although I am not sure how he convinced our mom to let the pig sleep in his room!
Those who knew Kris, even just a little, lost a shining light in their lives. We will always remember his good nature and loving heart.
Kris is survived by his father, Kenneth and Momma Trudy Lassche, mother, Lorraine and James Young, brothers, Kevin Young, James (Laura) Bryant, Cody (Karen) Bryant, Joey Bryant, Sebastian (Makenzie) Bryant, sisters, Heather (Corey) Draper, Joyce Young, Kari Young, Kimberly (Shawn) Larkin, Misty (Derek) Sargent, Tara Bryant, 38 nieces and nephews, Grandma and Grandpa Lassche, Grandma Mills, Grandma and Grandpa Martin, Bestfriend Nichole Wines, lifelong friend Amber Deollos and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Proceeded in death by Little Gramma Atwood, Grandpa Mills, Grandpa Johnston, great-grandparents Fay and Stanley Wells, Sophie and Herman Lassche Sr., Jennie and Jack Bliss, Sarah and Howard E. Young, and Bernice and Murray P. Young.
