Leora Hurst Reeder, 88, passed away Monday, December 30, 2013. Born to Hazen Reigo Hurst and Adella Bingham Hurst in North Logan, Utah, July 13, 1925. She enjoyed her childhood on the North Logan farm. She married John Thomas Reeder of Treasureton, Idaho, October 3, 1945 in the Salt Lake CityTemple. They spent several years raising their children in Dugway, Utah, first in the trailer park and then moving to the housing area. They bought a home in Tooele and lived there 43 years. She spent her last years living in Uinta Utah with her daughter Cheryl. Leora was proud to have worked as a switchboard operator at the DeeHospital in Ogden in her late teens. She worked at the Ditto Area lunch bar in Dugway and then the Dry Cleaners. After moving to Tooele she worked at the Army Depot in the ammo area and auto body and made many friends there. Her interests were watching the hummingbirds with John, doing word search books, simple sewing, and was known in the family for over-cooking everything. She enjoyed growing a vegetable garden and roses. She served several years as the Sunday School secretary. She is survived by her husband and children: Cheryl (Eugene) Carbine, Uintah; Thomas (Wendy), Sandy; Sharlene (Robert) Jorgensen, Leavenworth KS; Marsha (Dennis) Murray, Tooele; and Keven, Tooele; one brother Lynn (Ruby) Hurst, and 18 grandchildren, 51 great-great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren. Preceded in death by parents, brother DeVerl, sisters Neoline, Moziene Jensen and LuWana Reeder, brothers in-law Wesley Jensen, Edwin Reeder, and sister-in-law Ethel Hurst, and special grandsons Wayne Thomas Reeder and Mark Thomas Reeder.
