Naomi R Smith passed away at the age of 97 on May 27 2013 surrounded by her loving family. There aren't enough words to express and honor this amazing woman, mother, and grandmother. She was the rock of our family, the epitome of matriarch. Mom raised 4 children, one son Don, and three daughters, Dollie (Deceased), Judee, and Ronda. She married Floyd E. Smith (divorced). Mom worked at the Tooele Army Depot for over 30 years and retired as chief purchasing officer. She also volunteered at the LDS Hospital gift shop for 28 years, here she donated 11,000 and more hours. Naomi is preceded in death by three sisters, mother, father, daughter, and three grandchildren. She is survived by her son, Don (Ruth) Smith, daughters Judee (Cec) Nelson, Ronda (Ramon) Jones, son-in-law Russell Dobson, 24 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, and 9 great-great-grandchildren. She was a devoted mother who raised us with great love, taught us the value of hard work, and the importance of family.
