Pat Sorenson passed away on January 15, 2009 in Logan, UT. Pat was born April 21, 1957 in Lovell, Wyoming to Garnet and Newell Sorenson. Pat graduated from Tooele High School in 1976 lettering in three sports Football, Basketball and Baseball, He was All State in Football and Twice in Basketball and was selected as a high school All American in Basketball. He was a Varsity starter as a freshman. And is a member of the Tooele High School Wall of Fame. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints, and served in the Harrisburg Pennsylvania Mission from 1976 to 1978, After returning from his mission he played basketball at BYU Hawaii and Utah Tech. He received a BA from BYU in Psychology and started Rocky Mountain Youth, a program that helped troubled youth. He coached youth sports in Utah county, winning many championships and All Star Tournaments. He was a main stay in the local recreation leagues for years. He enjoyed building/remodeling homes, but his greatest pride was helping his siblings and parents build a home in Bear Lake. He is survived by his parents, brothers Scott (Patti), Jay (Taralyn), Max (Tana) and Chris (MaryPat) and sister Sherry (Allen) Taylor, his children, Nathan Workman, Melissa (Bryson) Christensen, Patrick, Randy and Tyler and granddaughter, Brylee, and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral services will be held Tuesday Jan 20th, at 10 a.m. both at Tate Mortuary in Tooele. Friends may call one hour prior to services.
