Robert (Bob) Everett Talcott, much beloved child of God, will be greatly missed. He went to the Lord on Mar. 14, 2011 where he is playing in the band and singing in the choir. He will be remembered as a wonderful loving, caring husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He was born Jan. 31, 1924 and was 87 years old on his passing. Bob graduated from Cortez High School in Cortez, Colorado and Western State College in Gunnison, Colo. with a degree in chemistry. He later worked on a Masters of Engineering Administration from the Univ. of Utah. After graduating from Western State College, Robert worked in the steel mills of Colorado, followed by the oilfields in Colorado and Texas. His career took him and his family to the mines of New Mexico. His final career move was as a chemist at Tooele Army Depot until he retired after 27 years of service. Bob resided in Tooele for 44 years after which he moved to Tucson, AZ in 2007 to be near his sweetheart Dorothy Davis. He enjoyed golfing and playing in the band at the Tooele Seniors Center and continued playing his saxophone in Tucson at Cascades Retirement Community. He was preceded in death by his devoted wife Arabella of 54 years and his daughter Terry. He is survived by his son Paul Robert Talcott and his wife Jane; daughter Nancy Luty and her husband Christoph; grandchildren Brad and Robin; sweetheart Dorothy Davis and daughter Judie Ellyson. Services will be held on Saturday, April 2 at 11a.m. at Tate Mortuary, 110 S. Main St., Tooele, Utah. Friends may call one hour prior to the service. The service will be conducted by Father LeRoy Carter of St. Barnabus Episcopal Church. Interment will be in the Tooele City Cemetery.
