Ronald Jones

Ronald Reese Jones, age 73, returned home to his Heavenly Father on Wednesday November 26th, 2025. He was reunited with His Parents Ronald and Margaret, his brother Larry and many other family and friends who preceded him in death.

Ronald was born on November 22, 1952, in Price Utah, to Ronald Dean Jones and Margaret (Thomas) Jones and is the oldest of 3 siblings. Ronald lived his life in Grantsville, after his family moved from Carbon County when he was very young. Ronald graduated from Grantsville High School, class of 1971, where he enjoyed sports, and theatre. After High School he served in the United States Air Force. Ronald married Barbara Ann Hurst in 1974 and together they raised their two sons, Ronald Lynn Jones and Matthew Reese Jones. Later in life he married Rosemarie Toth and he was proud to be a father to her children Michelle, Kayla and Mark. Ronald loved his family, friends, music, and the outdoors.

Ronald lived a full life filled with many experiences. He was an accomplished guitarist and performer; he performed with his band Powderhorn in his early years and later started a karaoke business where he was able to bring his love of music to many in the community. He loved to camp, hunt, fish and the outdoors in general.

Ronald is survived by his brother Earl D Jones (Tammy), two sons Ronald L Jones (Emily) and Mathew R Jones. Michelle Ault (Wayne), Kayla Marie Toth, and Mark Hartman Toth. Ronald also had many grandchildren that he was proud of; Aidan Jones, Alyssa Jones, Avery Jones, Reese Jones, Havyn Jones, Lexy Lund, Maddy Burningham, Jaxon Bruse, Easton Eyre, Hunter Eyre, Grayson Toth, Shay Sanders Tatum Sanders, and great grandchildren Theo, Lincoln, Emberley, Georgia.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday December 4th, 2025, at the Grantsville City Cemetery, 426 East Main St. in Grantsville Utah, at 11:00 am. There will be a viewing for family prior to the services from 9:30am – 10:30am at Tate Mortuary 110 S Main St., Tooele, UT. A light Luncheon will be served after the services at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints located at 415 W Apple St. Grantsville, Utah.
